Sea Sponge
Recently, Nadia Huggins stumbled across this very obviously genitalia-like sea sponge when she was swimming. She had been doing informal surveys of the reef at the local beach to think about ways to get the community more interested in the ocean. This photograph prompts the question, do multi-species relations only hold value to us if they mimic recognizable parts of ourselves? How can we learn to consider all species, and the impact of our actions, when making strides in our own technological advancements?
